Inspired by Thomas Coopers beautiful photography.
This was my original shot, taken off a ferry between Skagway and Juneau, Alaska.
It may not be my forte, but I love photographing *everything.*
A piece particularly close to my heart. I call it "Nuggets at Play." Anyone in the USMC airwing will get the reference, "nuggets" are new to the airwing, sort of like "boots" are new Marines. This was actually a broomstick, and the flag is Photoshopped in from the Marine Corps Memorial.
A playful Photoshop piece, a bit of parody on the religious concept "eat of my flesh." I always thought it was a bit morbid, so this piece seeks to make it a little easier to swallow. Please note the "57," being the Heinz number, which was actually a marvelous coincidence, but I claim unintended genius on that reference.
My attempt at a Mary Heilmann. I don't particularly care for her work, but the impact of her combination of color and geometric shape can't be denied. Generally though, I think her approach to her work is careless, not quite as special a thing as the art community apparently thinks. Of course, I'll stress that's only my opinion as a novice painter.
